Privacy Policy

Easy Contract is made by Shenghai Wang (ABN 56 536 634 985), a sole trader trading as Kinging AI (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Easy Contract iPhone app. It does not cover kingingai.com itself, which does not run any analytics or set any cookies.

The short version

The job recording, the transcript, and the draft document Easy Contract writes for you are processed on your iPhone and never leave the device. We do not see them, store them on a server, or use them to train anything. There is no account and no server for your job content to go to.

Like most apps, Easy Contract also uses a small number of Google Firebase services to tell us when the app crashes and to see, in aggregate, how the app is used. Those are covered below, separately from your job content, because they work differently and collect different things.

Job recordings and conversations

When you record a conversation with a client, the audio, the transcript Easy Contract makes from it, and the drafts it writes stay in the app’s storage on your phone. The on-device model that does the listening and the writing runs locally — about 2.6GB, downloaded once — so none of this needs a network connection to work, and none of it is uploaded anywhere by us.

This means:

  • We cannot read your job recordings, transcripts, or drafts, because we never receive them.
  • We do not store them on any server we control.
  • Deleting the recording or the draft in the app removes it from your phone; we hold no copy elsewhere to also delete.

If you send a draft to someone else — for example, by text message — that copy is then subject to whatever that other channel or recipient does with it, which this policy does not cover.

Crash and diagnostic data

Easy Contract uses Firebase Crashlytics to tell us when the app crashes or hits an error, so we can fix it. When a crash happens, Crashlytics sends Google a crash report containing information such as the type of crash, the affected part of the app, device model and OS version, and an app-installation identifier. This report does not include your job recordings, transcripts, or draft text.

Usage and analytics data

Easy Contract uses Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used — for example, which screens are opened and how often, and whether an in-app message was shown or dismissed (Firebase In-App Messaging). This tells us whether the app is working and where people get stuck; it does not tell us what is in a specific recording or draft.

Device identifiers

Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics use device and app-installation identifiers (such as a Firebase installation ID) to group crash reports and usage events together — for example, so we can tell that ten crash reports came from ten different installations rather than one. These identifiers are not linked to your name, email address, or any job content, because we do not collect those either.

Where this data goes

Crash and usage data described above is processed by Google, which provides Firebase. Google’s own privacy policy governs how Google handles that data on our behalf. Your job recordings, transcripts, and drafts are never sent to Google or to us — see “Job recordings and conversations” above.

Subscription and purchase data (coming soon)

Easy Contract is moving to a subscription — free for one month, then a paid monthly or yearly plan billed in AUD — through Apple’s in-app purchase system, StoreKit. This section is pending: once that’s live, we’ll describe here what purchase-related data we receive from Apple and how we use it. Apple, not us, handles your payment details — we do not receive or store your card information. If a subscription lapses, documents you’ve already made stay yours — they still open, export and share, and you can still ask an existing recording for another document. Only making a new recording stops.

Data we do not collect

We do not require an account to use Easy Contract, and we do not collect your name, email address, or payment details through the app. We do not sell any data.

Your rights

If you have questions about this policy or want to know more about what Crashlytics or Analytics has recorded for your device, contact us at hello@kingingai.com. Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you can ask what personal information an organisation holds about you; as set out above, the only information Firebase records about you is crash and usage data tied to a device identifier, not job content.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters — for example, if we add a new third-party service — we will update this page and change the date at the top.
